Sky and ITV merge to create British TV powerhouse in $2.1 billion deal
Sky has agreed to purchase ITV's broadcast channels and streaming operations for £1.6 billion, combining Britain's largest free-to-air commercial broadcaster with the country's leading pay-TV operator to better compete against global streaming giants.
