Japan's PM Takaichi visits earthquake-ravaged Kumamoto as heat and shortages compound crisis
Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has visited earthquake-damaged Kumamoto Prefecture for the first time since a magnitude 7.1 quake struck on August 4, killing 38 people. Extreme heat, water shortages and overcrowded shelters are hampering recovery efforts across the southern Japanese region.
