Singapore Celebrates 61st National Day with Historic Return of Parade to National Stadium
Singapore celebrated its 61st National Day on Sunday with the National Day Parade returning to the National Stadium for the first time in a decade. President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong presided over the ceremony, which drew 42,000 spectators and introduced new elements including a presidential gun salute conducted at Kallang Basin.
