King to Choose Public Prosecutor from Commission Shortlist under Proposed Legal Reform
Malaysia is reshaping prosecutorial oversight by removing Cabinet involvement in appointing the public prosecutor. The King will select candidates exclusively from a list compiled by the Judicial and Legal Service Commission, Law Minister Azalina Othman Said confirmed.
