Data breach at Hokkaido hospitals traced to improper hard drive disposal
A waste disposal firm in Hokkaido failed to properly destroy hard drives from two hospitals, leading to a data breach affecting up to 510,000 people. Personal information including medical records was exposed on the second-hand market.
