TikTok To Pay US$400 Million To Settle US Children's Privacy Lawsuit
TikTok and parent company ByteDance have agreed to pay US$400 million to resolve a US Justice Department lawsuit alleging violations of children's online privacy protections. The platform will pay US$300 million immediately with another US$100 million due after court dismissal of prior consent agreements.
