Argentine Court Convicts Ex-Submarine Commander Over 2017 Disaster That Claimed 44 Lives
Nearly nine years after the ARA San Juan submarine sank, Argentina's federal court has convicted its former fleet commander Claudio Javier Villamide of dereliction of duty and negligently causing a fatal disaster, handing him a three-year suspended sentence.
