The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) has apprehended two women as part of an ongoing effort to tackle vice-related offences. Acting on intelligence, the Gambling Suppression and Vice Prevention Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department carried out the operations in the Brunei-Muara District on Sunday, June 14.
The first suspect, aged 39, was taken into custody from a rented room in Kampong Salambigar following allegations of involvement in immoral activities. Hours later, a second operation in neighbouring Kampong Lumapas led to the arrest of a 29-year-old woman, who is suspected of participating in and facilitating similar activities.
Both individuals remain in police custody pending investigation. Officers also collected relevant items from the raid sites as evidence for their inquiries. All seized materials and the suspects have been transferred to the Gambling Suppression and Vice Prevention Unit headquarters for processing.
The RBPF underscored its resolve to eliminate vice-related conduct and offences against public morality, stating that such enforcement actions are essential to upholding community standards and social harmony.
