Medical officials in Gaza said Sunday that more than 73,000 people have died in the conflict between Israel and Hamas since October 7, 2023. The mounting toll reflects the sustained intensity of military operations across various parts of the Gaza Strip, according to statements made to news agencies.
Staff at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City documented receiving four bodies and numerous injured civilians following an Israeli strike on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Some of those brought to the facility sustained critical injuries requiring urgent care.
Witnesses described an Israeli unmanned aircraft firing at least one missile at a group of Palestinians positioned near the Yemen Al-Saeed Hospital within the Jabalia camp area on the same day. The strike occurred as the humanitarian situation in the enclave continues to deteriorate.
The Israeli military has not provided a response regarding the reported airstrike at the Jabalia camp. Verification of casualties and operational details from the military side remains pending as the situation develops.
